The firm
We have chosen not to grow beyond this: past a certain point you stop really knowing the files.
The firm was founded in 2009 by Claire Lenoir after twelve years in private banking. The founding idea fitted in one sentence: advise without selling anything.
There are now three partners and an office manager. We advise fifty-two families — business owners, professional practices, a few senior executives — and we have decided to stop there.
That ceiling is not an affectation. Past roughly twenty files per partner you stop remembering the children's names and the date of the trust deed, and advice turns generic.
