Opening hours

Closed for the first three weeks of August and between Christmas and 2 January.

The phone is safest: we answer from 10am to 10pm, Tuesday to Saturday. For parties of more than six, please ring in the morning.

Do I need to book?: In the evening and on Saturdays, yes — two or three days ahead. At lunchtime during the week there is nearly always a table, especially at the bar.
Do you have vegetarian dishes?: There is always at least one vegetarian starter and one main on the board. Tell us when you book and we will happily adapt.
Can I bring a child?: Of course. We have two high chairs and will serve a half portion of anything on the menu for £11.
Do you take groups?: Up to twelve with notice, on a shorter menu agreed together. Above that we can take the whole room on a Sunday.
Is the room accessible?: The room is level with the street. The lavatories, however, are downstairs and are not accessible — tell us and we will make arrangements.
